MAZURSKIE Red Wine Barrel Aged

Red Wine Barrel Aged is based on Mazurskie Ale Czerwony, an exceptionally rich, dry-hopped beer brewed in the American Amber Ale style with American Chinook and Cascade hops. It has won three bronze medals: at the European Beer Challenge 2021 and the Kraft Roku competitions in 2017 and 2021.

The first edition, released in 2021, was aged in a wooden barrel previously used for dry Spanish Cabernet wine. It developed distinctive notes of cherries, plums, berries and wood. The beer underwent bottle conditioning through the addition of yeast at the final stage, just before bottling, allowing its character to become increasingly refined and complex over time.

For the 2026 edition, Ale Czerwony was aged in a wooden barrel previously used for dry Spanish Rioja wine. It is a clear, copper-amber beer with subtle ruby highlights. The aroma combines caramel and lightly toasted malt with delicate resinous and citrus notes from the hops, accompanied by a more pronounced woody character than wine influence. The flavour is well balanced, with caramel maltiness complemented by moderate bitterness. The finish is drier, dominated by barrel notes and a subtle touch of red wine.

Why Choose Our Beer?

Natural Ingredients

MAZURSKIE beers are made exclusively from natural ingredients, with no artificial additives or preservatives. Their aromas come solely from malts, hops, yeast and natural fruits, vegetables and spices.

The NITRO Effect

MAZURSKIE beers are infused with nitrogen, giving them a creamy texture and a smooth, fine-bubbled head. Nitrogen creates exceptional depth of flavour while reducing excess carbon dioxide.

Unfiltered Beers

MAZURSKIE beers are unfiltered, giving them their natural haze and sediment. These characteristics reflect their authenticity and high quality.

Unique Lagering Process

We use a traditional brewing process with clearly separated production stages. Fermentation takes place in dedicated fermenters, while maturation occurs in separate lagering tanks, allowing each beer to develop for exactly as long as it needs. This gives us complete control over every stage of maturation and enables us to shape the flavour profile with precision. It is a more demanding approach than using unitanks, but we believe patience pays off. The result is clean, balanced beer refined down to the smallest detail.
